On May 25, Mitsui Fudosan and Panasonic System Solutions Japan are conducting a demonstration experiment of “unmanned self-registration payment” and “personal authentication of multifunction devices” by face recognition for Mitsui Fudosan employees at Nihonbashi Muromachi Mitsui Tower. Announced.
Verify the impact of non-contact and cardless convenience on working styles. We will further study for the realization of new services that utilize face recognition technology, aiming to provide a safe, secure and highly convenient office space.
For “unmanned self-checkout payment” by face recognition, a payment terminal using the existing self-checkout and Panasonic face recognition technology is installed at the Mitsui Fudosan Group Cafe. This makes it possible to make empty-handed payments by face recognition, and it is expected that the time required for payment operations will be shorter than the current electronic money payments.
In addition, a non-contact and secure payment method is also verified by operating the touchless operation panel when confirming the identity of the payment details.
In addition, some of the multifunction devices installed on the office floor are linked with face recognition machines that utilize Panasonic’s face recognition technology. Experiments are also underway to perform personal authentication without using the conventional personal IC card for authentication.
