IKEA / Furniture purchase campaign held

IKEA Japan will carry out an IKEA furniture purchase campaign from May 20th to June 20th.

IKEA launched a “furniture purchase service” in Japan in 2017 to purchase IKEA furniture that is no longer used at home or in the office. So far, it has purchased about 17,000 items and connects the baton to the next owner. ..

In November 2020, at IKEA stores in 27 countries around the world, a furniture purchase campaign called “Bibag (purchase) Friday” was held instead of “Black Friday”. Also in Japan, it was held from November 26th to December 6th, 2020, called “Sustainable Week”, and contributed to promoting sustainable consumption.

If you use the furniture purchase service during this campaign period, IKEA Family members and IKEA for Business members who have no admission fee or annual membership fee will purchase by adding 30% (usually 10%) to the assessed amount.

The purchased furniture is maintained and resold, leading to a second life. Take action against climate change by eliminating waste, creating a cycle of reuse, refurbishment, remanufacturing and recycling.
